Sailing trips

It's Time to Start Your Sailing Adventures

Our sailing weekends and longer trips are a fantastic way to get out on the water at a great price because you don’t need to anyone to share the cost of a yacht. Come alone, as a couple or with friends and just book the number of cabins you want.

We use a Nautitech Open 40 catamaran for these trips. It has 14 berths on board, but numbers are limited to eight guests (plus crew), so there’s always plenty of space. Accommodation is in one of four spacious double cabins, the saloon, or there’s a small but private crew bunk accessible through a forward hatch.

We make full use of a weekend (Fri eve to Sun) and bank holidays give us time to go a little further. This year we’re also trying out some longer trips that will really give us time to explore. We share the cost of food and drink on board along with mooring costs away from our home berth.

These trips are suitable for novice and experienced sailors, so everyone is welcome. The skipper will be a professional sailing instructor, but you are definitely part of the crew so you’ll record the miles in your logbook and there is plenty of opportunity to get involved.

We’ve listed the sorts of places we visit below together with a bookable list of trips already scheduled.

Here are some of the places we go. If you have a destination in mind and can book a few places, we’ll try and arrange a trip to meet your request.

West to Weymouth

To the West is Poole, the beautiful Jurassic Coast and on to Weymouth (shown). A lovely picturesque harbour, in the heart of the lively town with a lovely sandy beach.

East to Eastbourne

To the East is Chichester, Littlehampton, Brighton and even Eastbourne. On the way we'll pass a submarine barrier, Selsey Bill, a new wind farm and maybe even Beachy Head (shown).

Easy weekend trips

If we need to stay local, there's plenty to explore in the Solent including Bembridge, Southampton, Beaulieu, Lymington, Yarmouth and of course Cowes (shown). The centre of UK yachting and sometimes home to a thousand yachts.

Cross Channel

There's so many great places across the Channel in France and the Channel Islands - Cherbourg, Fecamp, Alderney, Guernsey, Jersey, Herm and Sark (shown) with great anchorages, beautiful beaches and lovely villages to explore.
